“I like helping people with their requests, then checking off tasks once they’re completed. Deleting or filing e-mails after they’re done is oddly satisfying for me!”

My role at TBA involves answering the phones and helping to find answers and solutions for callers, whether on my own or by reaching out to our team. I’m also responsible for pulling requests for distributions and loans, and working to communicate with those participants making the request.

I was introduced to The Benefit Advantage through a family member, which is about the best endorsement a company can get. I’ve been a self-employed cosmetologist and in the professional hair color world for the past 39 years, and worked in many salons in the Grand Blanc, Linden and Fenton areas, and even had my own studio. I have also been a national color educator working with John Paul Mitchell Hair systems for more than 15 years. I loved teaching haircutting, coloring and styling classes for salons, and have always enjoyed the travel, the big hair, the dressing up and 15-hour days to attend hair shows. I’m now enjoying a new adventure, and I love not being on my feet all day!

I look forward to learning more about the retirement plan industry, and I’m excited to discover just how I fit into the TBA team. My mom was in the financial world as I grew up, and I love the thought of emulating her in my second career path.
