Destination Imagination (DI) is a “global educational non-profit dedicated to inspiring the next generation of innovators, leaders and creative problem-solvers.” They host annual team challenges, where students compete across seven topic areas, including Technical, Scientific, Engineering, Fine Arts, Improvisational, Service Learning and Early Learning. DI’s goal is to help “educators, subject matter experts and qualified volunteers cover a wide range of student interests and align them to current educational standards.”
Kingsbury Country Day has been participating in DI for only two years, but in that short time, they have been able to compete at the state level twice. This year, they had the honor of competing with 8,000 other teams/schools from around the nation and the world! Eager and excited, the Kingsbury Country Day DI team, Monsters on the Loose, quickly started fundraising to be able to get the whole team to the Global Finals event being held in Kansas this year. TBA was happy to help the team reach their goal. What an extraordinary honor, not only for the DI Team, but for Kingsbury to be recognized on this national platform.
