“Everyone I’ve spoken with has nothing but good things to say about TBA and its employees. I’ve been employed by big companies as well as small ones, and there are issues with each, but when you find a company that EVERYONE likes, that’s the place to be!”
I’m currently inputting census information, although there may be cross-training with quality control in the future. My goal is to become the “Census Queen,” which – given the incredible knowledge base of everyone here – will be quite an achievement. I like solving problems. I’ve set an objective of a perfect census, and knowing what to do to achieve that is very satisfying. Everyone’s work depends on my accuracy and timeliness, which encourages me to always stretch toward higher goals.
I worked in the copier industry for more than 25 years, first at Hughes-Calihan Corporation (since acquired by Konica-Minolta), and then at IKON Office Solutions (since acquired by Ricoh USA). During my almost-16 years at Ricoh I worked as a supervisor, manager, quality auditor, performed data cleansing when we transferred our operating system to Oracle, did service contract setup, and finally worked on the BIS team (Business Integration Services), billing for document management services provided to law firms. At various other businesses, I’ve worked as a biller, a receptionist and a daycare attendant. In 2018, I took an early retirement to care for my mother, who passed in 2020. Knowing it was now time for me to seek some new goals, I decided to rejoin the workforce.
Looking ahead, I want to get to know everyone, of course, but I’m also looking forward to being part of a team and having a sense of purpose. I know we all sometimes feel, “Is this all there is?” or “Do I really want to do this for the next 10 years, or even the next day?” – but having something to do, having somewhere to go, and to be valued and acknowledged is great for a person’s mental (and physical) health. I appreciate the excellent judgment management has shown in hiring me, and I look forward to exceeding everyone’s expectations.
